Donald Trump is scheduled to appear on CNBC's Fast Money program. These markets track whether Trump mentions specific words, phrases, or topics during his official remarks on the live broadcast.
Resolution is based on Donald Trump speaking in an official capacity during the live CNBC Fast Money broadcast or stream. Only content from the original broadcast or stream counts; additional content, advertisements, archival footage, and previously aired material are excluded, though promotional content aired during the event is included. Each market resolves Yes if Trump uses the exact phrase or word specified (including plural or possessive forms), with grammatical and tense inflections otherwise not required. Plural nouns within proper nouns and noun phrases are included. Video of the broadcast is the primary resolution source; if consensus cannot be reached, official transcripts (internal or external) will be used. If the event is cancelled or fails to qualify under the payout criteria, or if Trump does not speak in an official capacity (such as inaudible private conversations or unofficial statements), the "Event does not qualify" market resolves Yes and all other markets resolve No. If the event is postponed and rescheduled within 14 calendar days with announcement by the end of the following calendar day, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds and traditional analyst forecasts often diverge because they operate on different incentive structures. Analysts publish opinions based on research and expertise, while prediction market traders stake real capital on outcomes, creating financial accountability. This market aggregates the views of many traders with skin in the game, potentially surfacing signals that individual analysts might miss. However, both approaches have merit: analysts offer detailed reasoning and context, while markets reflect distributed information and real-time adjustments. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus is strong or where uncertainty remains highest.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the implied probability that outcome will occur, with shares trading between 0 and 100 cents. Traders profit by buying low and selling high, or by correctly predicting which statements Trump will make. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence how tight the bid-ask spread remains, affecting execution costs for both buyers and sellers throughout the market's lifetime.
This market resolves around Jul 17, 2026, after Trump's appearance on CNBC Fast Money concludes. The outcome is determined by verifying what he actually said during the broadcast against credible public reporting, including video footage, transcripts, and reputable news coverage of the event. Once the broadcast airs and statements can be confirmed, the market settles based on which outcomes match the verified record. Traders should monitor official CNBC sources and major financial news outlets for accurate documentation of his remarks.
Several catalysts could shift odds before resolution. Major market movements, economic data releases, or geopolitical developments might change expectations about what Trump will prioritize discussing on air. Public statements or interviews Trump gives before the Fast Money appearance could preview topics he plans to address, causing traders to adjust positions. Media speculation about the interview's focus and real-time trading volume spikes often precede significant price moves. Additionally, breaking news or unexpected corporate announcements could alter the relevance of certain potential statements, prompting rapid repricing across all outcomes in this market.
