The market resolves on Jun 30, 2026. At that time, the actual median home value for New York City on June 30 will be determined and matched against the predefined outcome brackets. The resolution hinges on official housing data and valuation benchmarks published by recognized real estate indices or municipal sources. Traders who selected the correct outcome range receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The specificity of the resolution criteria ensures a clear, unambiguous settlement.
Federal Reserve interest rate decisions will significantly influence NYC median home values, as mortgage rates directly affect buyer purchasing power and property demand. Major employment reports, particularly for the New York metro area, can shift housing demand and prices. Local policy changes—such as rent control amendments, zoning reforms, or tax incentives—may alter the investment appeal of NYC real estate. Supply-side shocks, like large new residential developments or conversions, could pressure valuations. Broader economic recessions or booms, stock market volatility, and migration patterns into or out of the city also serve as key price drivers through resolution.
