This market tracks whether specific phrases or events are mentioned by commentators during a professional baseball game between two teams. The market resolves based on whether any of several common baseball terminology or notable occurrences are verbally referenced during the broadcast commentary.
Resolution is based on whether commentators use the exact phrase or word, including plural or possessive forms, during live commentary. Commentary begins following the first pitch and ends once the game concludes, including any extra innings. Commentary stops following the final inning's conclusion or, if the final play is under review, following the umpire's decision. The national broadcast is used; if unavailable, the home team's local broadcast applies. Promotional content counts, but advertisements do not. Previously aired content, archival footage, and recordings from separate events are excluded. If the game is postponed and rescheduled within 14 calendar days, markets remain open. If the event is cancelled or fails to qualify, the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes and all other markets resolve to No.
Prediction market odds on Kalshi reflect real-money trader expectations about which announcer mentions will occur, often diverging from traditional sports analyst commentary. While analysts may focus on game narrative or player storylines, market prices aggregate distributed information from thousands of traders betting on specific broadcast language. Comparing Kalshi odds to published analyst predictions or sports media commentary reveals whether the market is pricing in higher or lower probability for particular announcer topics than expert consensus suggests.
On Kalshi, announcer mention outcomes are priced as binary or categorical contracts reflecting the probability traders assign to each tracked phrase or topic. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices move continuously as new information emerges—such as roster changes, injury reports, or historical broadcast patterns—and as traders adjust positions ahead of the Jun 27, 2026 resolution window. Kalshi's order book displays bid-ask spreads, allowing traders to assess liquidity and execute at their preferred odds for each announcer mention outcome.
The market resolves after the Phillies vs Brewers game concludes on Jun 27, 2026. Resolution is determined by whether the specific announcer phrases or topics tracked in each contract were actually mentioned during the broadcast. Outcomes are verified against official game recordings and broadcast transcripts, ensuring that only statements made by the announcers during the live game commentary count toward settlement. Each tracked mention is evaluated independently.
Key catalysts include roster announcements, player injuries, recent team performance, playoff implications, and historical announcer tendencies for these teams. Breaking news about star players or controversial moments in the lead-up to game day may shift trader expectations about which topics broadcasters will emphasize. Weather conditions, venue-specific factors, and pregame storylines also influence odds, as traders anticipate which narrative angles announcers are likely to highlight during their commentary.
