This event tracks specific words and phrases that announcers may say during the Panama vs Croatia soccer match scheduled for June 23, 2026. Resolution is based on play-by-play or color commentary from the official broadcast, including promotional content but excluding advertisements.
Resolution requires exact phrase/word matches or their plural/possessive forms; grammatical/tense inflections do not count as variations. Commentary is counted from kickoff through the referee's final whistle, inclusive of extra time and penalty shootouts, but ends once VAR review decisions are made. Promotional content aired during the event counts toward resolution, but advertisements do not. Previously aired content, archival footage, and recordings from separate times, places, or events are excluded. Video of the match originally scheduled for June 23, 2026 is the primary resolution source; if consensus cannot be reached via video, official internal and external transcripts are used. If the match is cancelled or fails to qualify under these criteria, or if any circumstance prevents normal resolution, the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes and all other markets resolve to No. If the match is postponed and rescheduled within 14 calendar days with announcement by the end of the following calendar day, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds on this market reflect real-money incentives for accuracy, often diverging from traditional analyst commentary or media predictions. While sports analysts may rely on historical team performance and player statistics, traders here incorporate live sentiment, betting patterns, and crowd wisdom to price outcomes. Analyst forecasts tend to be more conservative or narrative-driven, whereas market odds adjust dynamically based on actual capital at risk. For announcer commentary specifically, this market captures niche expectations that traditional sports media rarely quantifies, making it a complementary signal to conventional expert opinion rather than a direct replacement.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit buy and sell orders for each possible announcer statement outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform matches orders in real time, and the midpoint between the best bid and ask spreads reflects the current market consensus probability. Prices range from near zero to near 100, with tighter spreads indicating higher confidence and liquidity around specific commentary predictions. Traders can enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes, and the final settlement price is determined once the event concludes and outcomes are verified.
This market resolves around Jul 7, 2026, once the Panama vs Croatia match concludes and announcer commentary can be verified against credible public sources such as official broadcast recordings or reputable sports media archives. The outcome is determined by whether the specific phrases or statements predicted in each outcome actually occur during the broadcast. Resolution is binary for each outcome—either the announcer says the predicted phrase or does not. Traders should monitor official match schedules and broadcast details to anticipate the exact timing of resolution.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before resolution. Team roster announcements, injury updates, or lineup changes may influence which players are discussed and how commentators frame the match narrative. Pre-match media coverage and analyst commentary can signal which storylines broadcasters are likely to emphasize. Live match events—such as early goals, red cards, or dramatic moments—will drive real-time commentary and alter trader expectations about what announcers will say next. Additionally, breaking news about either team, coaching changes, or historical milestones can introduce new talking points that traders price into their predictions.
