This event tracks specific words or phrases that announcers may say during the New Zealand vs Belgium soccer match scheduled for June 26, 2026. Resolution is based on video of the match, with transcripts used as backup if consensus cannot be reached from video alone.
Resolution is determined by whether play-by-play or color commentators use exact phrases during the New Zealand vs Belgium match. The exact word or phrase, including plural or possessive forms, must be used; grammatical and tense inflections do not count. Commentary is counted from kickoff through the match conclusion, including extra time and penalty shootouts, but ends at the referee's final whistle (or following VAR decision if applicable). Promotional content during the event counts, but advertisements do not. Previously aired content, archival footage, and recordings from separate events do not count. Video of the originally scheduled June 26, 2026 match is the primary resolution source; official transcripts serve as backup if video consensus cannot be reached. If the match is cancelled or fails to qualify, the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes and all other markets resolve to No. If postponed and rescheduled within 14 calendar days with announcement by end of the following day, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds reflect real-money trader conviction and typically incorporate analyst views, media commentary, and historical patterns faster than traditional forecasts update. On this market, odds represent the collective assessment of what announcers are most likely to say, weighted by trader confidence and capital allocation. Analysts and sports commentators often lag behind prediction markets in pricing new information, making this market a useful benchmark for comparing expert opinion against the aggregated judgment of active traders betting their own money on the outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to different announcer statements. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome trades independently, and the price of a share reflects the market's implied probability that specific commentary will occur. Traders can enter limit or market orders to express their conviction, and prices adjust in real time as new capital flows in and positions shift, ensuring the market stays efficient and responsive to new information about the teams and broadcasters involved.
This market resolves around Jul 11, 2026, once the New Zealand vs Belgium match concludes and announcer commentary can be verified. The outcome is determined by comparing actual broadcast statements against the specific predictions offered in this market, with resolution confirmed through credible public sources including official broadcast recordings and reputable sports media coverage. Traders should monitor the event closely as the resolution date approaches to ensure their positions align with their expectations of what will be said on air.
Key catalysts include team roster announcements, injury updates, and broadcaster lineup confirmations, all of which influence what commentators are likely to emphasize. Pre-match media coverage and analyst predictions often shape announcer talking points, so major storylines emerging in the days before kickoff can shift market odds significantly. Additionally, historical commentary patterns from previous New Zealand or Belgium matches, recent team performance, and any controversial moments in the lead-up to the fixture could all prompt traders to reprice their expectations of what will be said during the broadcast.
