Valid commentary must occur after the first pitch and before the game concludes, including any extra innings, but stops once the final inning ends or after umpire decisions if the final play is under review. National broadcast commentary is used for resolution; if unavailable, the home team's local broadcast applies. Commercials are excluded, but promotional content within the game broadcast counts. Only commentary from the official broadcast team qualifies—statements from players, coaches, referees, guests, or non-broadcast personnel are invalid. Resolution primarily uses video footage of the game; if consensus cannot be reached, official transcripts are consulted.
