This market on Kalshi tracks whether announcers will say "Red Card" during the Jordan vs Algeria soccer match broadcast. The leading outcome currently stands at 1.0%, with the alternative outcome also at 1.0%. Resolution will be determined by monitoring play-by-play and color commentator dialogue throughout the match, from kickoff through the final whistle including extra time if applicable, according to Kalshi's resolution criteria. Watch for the June 22, 2026 match kickoff, as that is when the broadcast commentary window begins.
Resolution is based on exact phrase/word matches (including plural or possessive forms) spoken by play-by-play or color commentators during the Jordan vs Algeria match originally scheduled for June 22, 2026. Commentary counting begins following kickoff and ends once the match concludes, inclusive of extra time and/or penalty shootout, with commentary ceasing after the referee's final whistle or, if the final action is under VAR review, following the referee's decision. Video of the match will be the primary source for resolution; if consensus cannot be reached via video, internal and external official transcripts will be used. Promotional content aired during the event counts, but advertisements do not. Previously aired content, archival footage, and recordings from separate times, places, or events are excluded. Grammatical and tense inflections are not required—only the exact phrase or its plural/possessive form must be used. If the match is cancelled or fails to qualify under these criteria, the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes and all other markets resolve to No. If postponed and rescheduled within 14 calendar days with announcement by the end of the following calendar day, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they reflect real-money incentives and crowd wisdom rather than expert opinion alone. While analysts may rely on historical patterns and subjective judgment, this market aggregates the collective expectations of traders who have financial skin in the game. Comparing the current odds to published analyst commentary can reveal where the market sees unique value or where consensus may be underpricing certain outcomes. This divergence frequently signals emerging information or shifting public perception about the event.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through continuous order-book matching, where buyers and sellers set the odds directly by placing bids and asks. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the marginal trader's belief about the likelihood of specific announcer commentary occurring during the Jordan vs Algeria match. As new information emerges or trading volume shifts, the price adjusts in real time. Traders can enter or exit positions at any point before the market closes, and the final price at settlement represents the market's last consensus view of the outcome.
This market resolves around Jul 7, 2026, once the Jordan vs Algeria event concludes and announcer commentary can be verified. The outcome is determined by comparing actual broadcast statements against the specific prediction criteria outlined in the market.
