This event tracks specific words and phrases that announcers may mention during the Germany vs Paraguay soccer match scheduled for June 29, 2026. Resolution depends on whether play-by-play or color commentators use exact words or their plural/possessive forms during live commentary from kickoff through the final whistle, including extra time and penalty shootouts.
Resolution requires exact phrase/word matches or their plural/possessive forms, with grammatical/tense inflections excluded. Commentary counting begins at kickoff and ends upon the referee's final whistle, inclusive of extra time and penalty shootouts; if the final action is under VAR review, commentary ends following the referee's decision. Promotional content aired during the event counts toward resolution, but advertisements do not. Previously aired content, archival footage, and recordings from separate times, places, or events are excluded. Video of the match originally scheduled for June 29, 2026 serves as the primary resolution source; if Kalshi employees cannot reach consensus from video, internal and external official transcripts will be used. If the match is cancelled or fails to qualify under the payout criterion, or if any circumstance prevents normal resolution, the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes and all other markets resolve to No. If the match is postponed and rescheduled within 14 calendar days with announcement by the end of the following calendar day, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds reflect real-money trader conviction and aggregate dispersed information across thousands of participants, often diverging meaningfully from traditional analyst commentary. While sports analysts and broadcasters may speculate on likely talking points, this market prices those expectations through continuous trading. Analysts typically offer qualitative assessments; prediction markets quantify them as probabilities. When major storylines shift—injuries, tactical surprises, or headline developments—market odds often adjust faster than published forecasts, making them a complementary signal for understanding what commentators are likely to emphasize.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different announcer statements. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome is quoted as a decimal price between 0 and 1, directly reflecting the implied probability that specific commentary will occur. Liquidity and trading volume drive price discovery; as new information surfaces or conviction shifts, bids and asks adjust in real time. Traders profit by correctly predicting which phrases or themes the broadcast team will highlight during the Germany vs Paraguay match.
This market resolves around Jul 13, 2026, once the Germany vs Paraguay match concludes and broadcast commentary can be reviewed. The outcome is determined by verifying the actual announcer statements against credible public sources, including official broadcast recordings and reputable sports media summaries. Resolution hinges on whether the specific commentary outcomes tracked by this market occurred during the live transmission. Traders should monitor the match broadcast and post-game coverage to confirm which predictions materialized.
Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or tactical shifts—often triggers commentary speculation and can shift odds significantly. Pre-match press conferences, where managers discuss strategy or respond to controversies, frequently set the tone for broadcaster talking points. Social media trends and emerging storylines around individual players or historical matchup narratives also influence trader expectations. As kickoff approaches, confirmed lineups and weather conditions may prompt last-minute repricing. During the match itself, early goals, red cards, or unexpected performances can reshape what commentators emphasize in real time, creating volatile price swings in this market.
