This market tracks specific words and phrases that announcers may say during the Curacao vs Ivory Coast soccer match scheduled for June 25, 2026. Resolution is based on whether play-by-play or color commentators use exact words or their plural/possessive forms during live commentary from kickoff through the final whistle, including extra time and penalty shootouts.
Resolution requires exact phrase/word matches or their plural or possessive forms, with grammatical/tense inflections otherwise excluded. Commentary counting begins at kickoff and ends when the match concludes, including extra time and penalty shootouts, with commentary ceasing after the referee's final whistle or VAR decision if applicable. Promotional content aired during the event counts toward resolution, but advertisements do not. Previously aired content, archival footage, and recordings from separate times, places, or events are excluded. Video of the match will be the primary resolution source; if consensus cannot be reached, internal and external official transcripts will be used. If the match is cancelled or fails to qualify under these criteria, the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes and all other markets resolve to No. If postponed with announcement by end of the following calendar day to a date within 14 calendar days, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds reflect real-money trader positioning and typically incorporate analyst views, media commentary, and public expectations into a single probability estimate. Unlike traditional forecasts, this market updates continuously as new information emerges, making it more responsive than static analyst predictions. Traders who monitor sports commentary patterns, broadcast conventions, and team-specific narratives often price in nuances that written forecasts may miss, creating a dynamic consensus that evolves right up to kickoff.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to specific announcer statements. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on the outcome, and the current bid-ask spread reflects the market's confidence in whether those words will actually be spoken. As more traders enter positions, the price adjusts to equilibrate supply and demand, ensuring that the odds you see represent genuine market sentiment rather than a fixed payout structure.
This market resolves around Jul 9, 2026, once the Curacao vs Ivory Coast match concludes and the broadcast commentary becomes verifiable. The outcome is determined by whether the specified announcer statements were actually made during the game, confirmed against credible public sources including official broadcast recordings and reputable sports media coverage. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final whistle, allowing traders to settle positions quickly.
Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or tactical shifts—often influences announcer focus and commentary themes, moving this market as traders adjust expectations. Broadcast schedule announcements and confirmed commentator assignments can also shift odds, since different announcers favor different phrases and storytelling angles. Pre-match media narratives, rivalry history, and recent performance trends all shape what traders expect to hear, so major developments in either team's preparation or public discourse in the days before kickoff will likely drive price movement.
