This event tracks specific words and phrases that announcers may mention during the Croatia vs Ghana soccer match scheduled for June 27, 2026. Resolution is based on whether play-by-play or color commentators use exact words or their plural/possessive forms during live commentary from kickoff through the final whistle, including extra time and penalty shootouts.
Resolution requires exact phrase/word matches or their plural/possessive forms as spoken by play-by-play or color commentators during the Croatia vs Ghana match. Commentary counting begins following kickoff and ends once the match concludes, inclusive of extra time and penalty shootouts, with commentary ending at the referee's final whistle (or following the referee's VAR decision if the final action is under review). Promotional content aired during the event counts toward resolution, but advertisements do not. Previously aired content, archival footage, and recordings from times, places, or events separate from the featured match do not count. Video of the originally scheduled June 27, 2026 match serves as the primary resolution source; if consensus cannot be reached via video, internal and external official transcripts will be used. If the match is cancelled or fails to qualify under the payout criterion, or if any circumstance prevents normal resolution, the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes and all other markets resolve to No. If the match is postponed and rescheduled within 14 calendar days with announcement by the end of the following calendar day, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds reflect real-time aggregation of trader beliefs, often incorporating information faster than traditional analyst forecasts. While sports commentators and broadcasters may publish pre-match talking points or themes, this market captures dynamic expectations from participants actively wagering on specific announcer statements. Analysts typically rely on historical broadcast patterns and team narratives, whereas traders here price in live developments. The crowd-sourced nature of prediction markets can reveal consensus views that differ meaningfully from expert predictions, particularly when unexpected roster changes or tactical shifts occur before kickoff.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each potential announcer statement outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices reflect the collective willingness of participants to stake capital on specific commentary predictions, with bid-ask spreads tightening as volume increases. Each outcome carries an implied probability derived from its current market price. Traders can enter limit or market orders, and the platform matches buyers and sellers in real time, ensuring prices adjust continuously as new information or sentiment shifts occur.
This market resolves around Jul 11, 2026, once the Croatia vs Ghana match concludes and broadcast commentary becomes verifiable. The outcome is determined by reviewing the actual statements made by official announcers during the game, confirmed against credible public sources such as broadcast recordings or official match transcripts. Resolution occurs after sufficient time has passed for independent verification of the commentary. Traders should monitor the match broadcast directly to track which predicted statements materialize, as resolution hinges on documented evidence of what was genuinely said on air.
Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or tactical surprises announced before kickoff—can shift expectations about announcer focus and commentary themes. Pre-match media coverage and analyst discussions often preview talking points commentators will emphasize, influencing trader positioning. Weather conditions, venue atmosphere, or unexpected early match developments may prompt announcers to pivot their narrative, causing traders to reassess probabilities. Social media trends and betting patterns on related markets can also signal shifting sentiment. Late-breaking roster confirmations or coach statements in the hours before the match represent key catalysts that could reshape odds on specific commentary outcomes.
