The market resolves based on whether any of the predefined terms—such as technical hockey terminology, game situations, or notable events—are spoken during the broadcast commentary.

Commentary is monitored from puck drop through the conclusion of the game, continuing through overtime if the game extends beyond regulation. If the final play is under review, commentary ends following the referee's decision.
