This market tracks specific words and phrases that announcers may mention during the Brewers vs Diamondbacks baseball game scheduled for July 3, 2026. Announcers often reference player names, game situations, and notable plays during live commentary.
Resolution is based on whether play-by-play or color commentators speak specified terms during the game broadcast. The exact phrase or word, including plural or possessive forms, must be used; grammatical and tense inflections are otherwise excluded. Commentary counting begins following the first pitch and concludes when the game ends, including any extra innings. If the final play is under review, commentary ends following the umpire's decision. The national broadcast is used for resolution; if unavailable, the home team's local broadcast applies. Promotional content aired during the event counts, but advertisements do not. Previously aired content, archival footage, and recordings from separate times or events are excluded. If the game is postponed and rescheduled within 14 calendar days with announcement by the following day, markets remain open. If the event is cancelled or fails to qualify, the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes and all other markets resolve to No.
Prediction market odds reflect real-money incentives, making them distinct from traditional analyst commentary or media predictions. Traders in this market stake capital on specific announcer phrases, creating a price signal that often incorporates information faster than published forecasts. While sports analysts may offer qualitative takes on likely broadcast narratives, the odds here represent aggregated trader conviction weighted by financial commitment, offering a quantitative alternative lens for evaluating what commentators are likely to emphasize during the game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers set odds by placing bids and asks on each possible announcer statement. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the marginal trader's willingness to buy or sell at that level, with tighter spreads indicating higher confidence and liquidity. As game time approaches and new information emerges, prices adjust dynamically to incorporate updated expectations about broadcast commentary.
This market resolves around Jul 18, 2026, once the Brewers vs Diamondbacks game concludes and broadcast recordings are available for verification. The outcome is confirmed by comparing actual announcer statements to the specific phrases listed in each contract. Resolution depends on credible documentation of what was said during the broadcast, ensuring all trades settle fairly based on verifiable event data.
Market prices may shift based on team roster changes, injury announcements, playoff implications, or recent performance trends that broadcasters typically emphasize. Pre-game commentary and analyst previews can signal which storylines announcers plan to highlight. Weather, venue conditions, and historical matchup narratives also influence what commentators are likely to discuss. As game time nears, updated odds reflect trader expectations about which themes will dominate the broadcast.
