Scott Bessent, Treasury Secretary, will speak at the Faith & Freedom Coalition's 2026 Policy Conference. These markets track whether he uses specific words or phrases during his official remarks at this live, press-open event.
Resolution is based on Scott Bessent's official remarks during a live televised or streamed Faith & Freedom Coalition 2026 Policy Conference that is open to the press. The event must occur as scheduled or be rescheduled within 14 calendar days for markets to remain active. Resolution uses the live broadcast or stream as the primary source, with official transcripts as backup if video consensus cannot be reached. Only remarks made in an official capacity count; private conversations, hot mic statements, and inaudible remarks do not qualify. Each phrase or word must be used exactly as specified (or in plural or possessive forms), with grammatical and tense variations otherwise excluded. Previously recorded content, archival footage, or statements from separate events do not count. If the event is cancelled, fails to qualify, or cannot be resolved normally, all phrase markets resolve to No and the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes.
Prediction market odds and analyst forecasts often diverge because they reflect different methodologies. Markets aggregate real-time trader behavior and financial incentives, while analysts typically rely on historical patterns, expert judgment, and qualitative reasoning. In this market, the odds embedded in trader positions may signal higher or lower conviction about specific remarks than published analyst commentary suggests. Comparing the two reveals whether professional consensus aligns with decentralized market pricing—a useful sanity check for participants trying to assess which outcome the broader community genuinely expects.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for each outcome, and the platform matches them to establish the current odds. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of any outcome reflects the marginal trade—the last transaction executed—and moves continuously as new orders arrive. Participants can view the full depth of buy and sell interest, execute market orders immediately, or place limit orders to trade at a specific probability threshold. This transparent, real-time pricing model ensures that odds adjust instantly to reflect new information about what Bessent may say at the conference.
This market resolves around Jul 11, 2026, once the Faith & Freedom Coalition conference concludes and Bessent's remarks are available for review. The outcome is determined by verifying the statements he makes against credible public sources, including video recordings, official transcripts, and reputable news coverage. Traders should monitor the event closely as it unfolds, since the market will lock in its final odds shortly after the speech ends. Resolution hinges on whether specific phrases or topics mentioned in the market's outcome definitions actually appear in his remarks.
Several catalysts could shift odds before the conference. Statements Bessent makes in other public appearances, congressional testimony, or media interviews may hint at his likely talking points, prompting traders to adjust positions. Changes in economic conditions, policy announcements, or political developments could alter the relevance or likelihood of certain topics. As the conference date approaches, media coverage and speculation about his agenda may intensify, driving volume and repricing. Finally, any last-minute schedule changes or public previews of his remarks would trigger immediate market movement, so traders should stay alert to news flow in the days leading up to the event.
