Mark Kelly is scheduled to appear on The Last Word With Lawrence O'Donnell, a weeknight news and opinion program. These markets track whether Kelly mentions specific words or phrases during his on-air appearance in official capacity.
Resolution is based on Mark Kelly speaking in an official capacity during the live broadcast or stream of The Last Word With Lawrence O'Donnell. Each market resolves Yes if Kelly uses the exact phrase or word specified (or plural/possessive forms), with grammatical and tense inflections otherwise not counted. The live broadcast or stream is the primary source for resolution, with video used first and official transcripts as backup if consensus cannot be reached. Promotional content aired during the event counts, but advertisements do not. Previously aired content, archival footage, and recordings from separate times, places, or events do not count. If Mark Kelly does not appear or does not speak in an official capacity (such as inaudible private conversations or unofficial statements), the event does not qualify and all markets resolve to No. If the event is cancelled or fails to qualify under these criteria, the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes and all other markets resolve to No. If the event is postponed and rescheduled within 14 calendar days with announcement by the end of the following calendar day, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds reflect real-money trader expectations and often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because markets incorporate continuous information flow and financial incentives for accuracy. While political analysts and media commentators may offer qualitative assessments of Kelly's likely talking points, this market prices those expectations quantitatively through supply and demand. Traders betting on specific statements must weigh recent news, Kelly's legislative priorities, and current political events—factors that analysts also consider but may weight differently. The market's odds thus represent a crowdsourced probability estimate that can shift rapidly as new developments emerge, whereas analyst predictions tend to update less frequently.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares of each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the probability traders assign to that statement or topic being mentioned during the broadcast. Shares trade between 0 and 100 cents, with the sum of all outcome prices typically equaling 100 cents at equilibrium. As new information emerges—such as breaking news or Kelly's recent public statements—traders adjust their positions, moving prices up or down to reflect shifting conviction about what he will say on air.
This market resolves around Jul 30, 2026, after The Last Word With Lawrence O'Donnell episode airs and the content becomes verifiable. The outcome is determined by comparing Kelly's actual statements during the broadcast against the specific claims or topics defined by each market option. Resolution is confirmed once credible public reporting—such as official transcripts, video archives, or major news coverage—establishes what was said. Traders should monitor the broadcast and any official documentation to understand how their positions will settle once the episode concludes and the resolution window closes.
Several catalysts could shift odds before the broadcast airs. Breaking news about Kelly's legislative agenda, recent votes in Congress, or major policy developments could increase the likelihood that he addresses specific topics on the show. Announcements about the episode's focus or guest list may also influence trader expectations. Kelly's recent public statements, social media activity, or press releases signal which issues he prioritizes and may appear on air. Media speculation about the interview's content and trending political events in Arizona or nationally could prompt traders to adjust positions. Finally, any scheduling changes or episode cancellations would directly impact market resolution timing and certainty.
