Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Kevin Warsh July press conference market dashboard displays real-time odds and trading activity for outcomes tied to statements he may make during a scheduled July press conference. The dashboard shows current market prices, historical price movements, and trading volume as participants buy and sell shares reflecting their beliefs about what he will say. This allows traders to monitor consensus expectations and track how sentiment shifts as new information emerges or the event date approaches. The interface provides transparency into how the market is pricing different possible outcomes related to his remarks.

Prediction market odds and polling averages measure different things and often diverge. Polls capture stated preferences or beliefs at a single moment, while prediction markets aggregate real-money bets from traders with skin in the game, creating continuous price discovery. In this market, traders are wagering on specific statements rather than opinions, which means the odds reflect financial incentives to be accurate. Prediction markets historically outperform polls on binary events because participants face direct financial consequences for being wrong, encouraging deeper research and more honest positioning than survey responses alone.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader activity into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Shares representing each possible outcome trade continuously, and their prices reflect the collective assessment of all active traders. When more capital flows into one outcome, its price rises and the competing outcomes fall, creating a self-balancing mechanism. The current leading outcome reflects where the majority of trading volume and capital have concentrated, though prices remain fluid until the market resolves.

This market resolves around Jul 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the press conference concludes and statements are verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution hinges on whether specific remarks attributed to the speaker are documented during the event. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout once the event is finalized and the market is settled. Until that date, prices may continue to shift based on new developments, expectations, or changes in participant conviction.

Several catalysts could shift prices before the market resolves. Official announcements about the press conference timing, format, or topics could alter expectations about what will be discussed. Media coverage, policy developments, or statements from related officials might influence traders' views on likely remarks. Changes in broader political or economic conditions could also affect the probability of certain statements being made. As the event date draws closer, any leaked details or preparatory comments from advisors could trigger repricing. Finally, real-time developments during the press conference itself will drive final settlement.
