Keir Starmer is scheduled to participate in the Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs) in the Commons Chamber in the Palace of Westminster on every Wednesday. (https://www.parliament.uk/visiting/visiting-and-tours/watch-committees-and-debates/prime-ministers-questions/). This market will resolve to "Yes" if Keir Starmer says the listed term during the next Prime Minister's Question Time event he participates in. Otherwise, the market will resolve to "No". If Starmer ceases to be Prime Minister for any length of time by July 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, "-No Qualifying Event-" will resolve to "Yes" and all other brackets will resolve to "No". This market is explicitly about scheduled events featuring Keir Starmer titled "Prime Minister's Question Time" (https://www.parallelparliament.co.uk/mp/keir-starmer/dept/cabinet-office/calendar). Prediction market odds and traditional polling serve different purposes but can offer complementary insights. Polls measure public opinion on specific questions at a snapshot in time, while this market reflects traders' real-money bets on an actual future event. Markets often incorporate information faster than polls update, and they incentivize accuracy through financial stakes. However, prediction markets can be influenced by a smaller, more engaged participant base, whereas polls aim for representative samples. Comparing the two reveals whether traders expect public sentiment to shift or whether current expectations align with measured opinion.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that allows traders to buy and sell shares representing different outcomes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the collective belief of all traders participating in the pool. As traders place orders, the price adjusts in real time to balance supply and demand. Higher prices indicate greater confidence in that outcome occurring, while lower prices suggest lower perceived probability. Traders profit by buying low and selling high, or by correctly predicting which outcome will ultimately resolve.
This market resolves around Jul 8, 2026, once the next Prime Minister's Questions event has concluded and statements are verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by what Starmer actually says during the session, confirmed through official parliamentary records, broadcast footage, and reputable news reporting. Resolution hinges on whether his remarks match the specific prediction categories or thresholds set by the market. Traders should monitor the official parliamentary calendar and media coverage leading up to the deadline to assess how likely their chosen outcome has become.
Major political developments—such as economic announcements, international crises, or domestic scandals—could shift trader expectations about what Starmer will prioritize at PMQs. Opposition party positioning and recent parliamentary debates often signal which topics will dominate questioning and responses. Media narratives and public pressure on specific policy areas may influence the Prime Minister's focus. Scheduled government announcements or legislative milestones can also telegraph likely talking points. Traders monitoring news cycles, government statements, and parliamentary schedules will gain early signals about shifting probabilities before the event occurs.
