James Corden will host a post-match show on Fox following World Cup coverage, providing commentary and analysis on the tournament. Participants will track whether Corden mentions specific words or phrases during the live broadcast.
Resolution is determined by monitoring the live broadcast or stream of FOX: FIFA World Cup on Fox After Hours with James Corden for the utterance of specified terms. Each market resolves to Yes if James Corden says the exact phrase or word in question, including plural or possessive forms, though other grammatical or tense inflections are not counted. The word or phrase must appear in its exact form as specified, with plural nouns within proper nouns and noun phrases included. Video of the broadcast serves as the primary resolution source; if consensus cannot be reached from video alone, official internal and external transcripts will be consulted. Only content from the original live broadcast or stream counts toward resolution—additional content not included in the original broadcast, such as supplementary materials, does not count. Promotional content aired during the event is included, but paid advertisements are excluded. The entirety of the original broadcast content is reviewed for resolution purposes. If the event is postponed and rescheduled within 14 calendar days with announcement by the end of the following calendar day, markets remain open.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they aggregate real-time trader conviction rather than relying on expert opinion alone. In this market, odds reflect what active participants believe Corden will actually say, incorporating recent interviews, his typical comedic patterns, and current events. Analysts may offer broader commentary trends, but the market price captures dynamic, incentivized bets. Comparing the two reveals whether professional forecasters and market participants align on the likelihood of specific statements, offering insight into consensus versus contrarian views.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the collective willingness of buyers and sellers to transact at that level, with tighter spreads indicating higher confidence and liquidity. As new information emerges or sentiment shifts, the bid-ask spread adjusts, and traders can enter or exit positions throughout the trading window. This mechanism ensures prices remain responsive to real-time expectations.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the World Cup broadcast on Fox After Hours concludes and the relevant statements can be verified. The outcome is confirmed against credible public reporting, including broadcast recordings and official Fox documentation. Resolution hinges on whether Corden's actual commentary matches the specific outcomes listed in the market. Traders should monitor the broadcast window closely, as the final determination will be locked in shortly after the event airs and statements are independently verified.
Market odds may shift based on Corden's recent public statements, trending topics he typically comments on, and breaking news during the World Cup tournament itself. Any interviews or social media activity from the host could signal his likely talking points, prompting traders to adjust positions. Changes in the tournament's narrative—surprise results, standout player performances, or controversial moments—may influence what Corden chooses to highlight on air. Additionally, shifts in late-night comedy trends or Fox's editorial direction could reshape expectations around his commentary tone and focus.
