This group forecasts whether specific keywords will be mentioned during BlackBerry's next earnings call. The markets aim to predict what topics BlackBerry management will address during the call, and potentially the emphasis they place on those topics.
This market will resolve based on the next earnings announcement of BlackBerry currently scheduled to take place on September 24, 2026 at 8:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed term is mentioned by anyone during this event. Otherwise, the market will resolve to "No". If this event is definitely cancelled, or otherwise is not aired by September 25, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, "-No Qualifying Event-" will resolve to "Yes" and all other brackets will resolve to "No". The resolution source will be audio of the event. For full rules, see: https://polymarket-upload.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/market_products/Mentions/Event+Mentions+Contract+DeFi.pdf
The event evaluates whether specific exact phrases are uttered by any BlackBerry Limited representative during the next earnings call, including the Q+A session. Each market corresponds to a unique phrase; if that phrase (or its plural/possessive form) is spoken, the respective market resolves to Yes. Payout determination is based on video recordings of the call, with transcripts from designated news publications used as a fallback if video consensus cannot be reached. Grammatical or tense variations of the phrases do not qualify for payout. The operator of the call and all representatives are included in the evaluation, and Kalshi disclaims any official affiliation with BlackBerry Limited.
Prediction market odds, like those found in this market, often provide a different perspective than traditional analyst forecasts. Analysts typically offer point estimates or ranges, while this market aggregates the wisdom of the crowd, expressing probabilities for different outcomes. This can lead to a more nuanced and potentially more accurate view of what BlackBerry might discuss during their earnings call. Discrepancies can arise from differing methodologies and biases; analysts may be influenced by company relationships, while market traders are incentivized to make accurate predictions. Examining both sources provides a more comprehensive understanding.
Several signals could significantly impact this market before resolution. Any pre-earnings announcements from BlackBerry regarding key topics, such as revenue, cybersecurity, or new product launches, could shift probabilities. Analyst reports offering strong opinions on the likely content of the earnings call could also influence trading activity. Unexpected news events affecting the technology sector or BlackBerry’s competitors could also play a role. Increased trading volume on either Polymarket or Kalshi would also be a signal to watch, indicating heightened market attention.
