This event tracks whether Bernie Sanders will mention specific topics during a scheduled rally. The rally focuses on addressing issues of oligarchy and societal change, and the markets will resolve based on whether Sanders utters certain exact phrases during his official speech.
The event evaluates whether Bernie Sanders utters specific exact phrases during his Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here rally in Tampa scheduled for October 17, 2026. Each market corresponds to a unique phrase or term (e.g., "Billionaire," "Elon / Musk," "Working Class"), and the market resolves to Yes if Sanders says that exact phrase (including plural or possessive forms) during the official rally. Resolution relies primarily on live broadcast or stream video, with official transcripts used as a secondary source if video consensus cannot be reached. Phrases must be spoken by Sanders in an official capacity; private or off-mic comments do not count. Grammatical variations or inflections do not qualify. If the rally is definitively canceled, postponed beyond qualifying parameters, or otherwise unable to proceed, the "Event does not qualify" market resolves to Yes, and all others resolve to No. Postponements announced within one calendar day and rescheduled within 14 days keep markets open.
Currently, it’s difficult to draw direct comparisons between this market and traditional analyst forecasts, as the nature of predicting specific speech content is less common in conventional political analysis. However, the odds reflected in this market represent a collective assessment of probability based on a diverse group of traders. This differs from individual analyst opinions, which may be influenced by personal biases or specific methodologies. It will be interesting to observe whether the market’s predictions align with post-rally analysis of Senator Sanders’ remarks, offering a unique perspective on event forecasting.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction, meaning traders can buy and sell contracts representing different potential statements from the rally. The price of each contract reflects the market’s assessment of the probability of that statement being made. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices will adjust accordingly. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s depth—indicated by the bid and ask sizes—shows how much volume is available at different price points, providing insight into the strength of conviction behind each prediction.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on a review of transcripts and video recordings of Senator Sanders’ speech in Tampa to determine whether each statement included in the market was actually uttered. The outcome will be based on a clear and unambiguous delivery of the statement, as determined by publicly available sources. The market will settle to 100 for any statement definitively made and 0 for those not made.
Several factors could significantly influence trading activity in this market. Any pre-rally statements made by Senator Sanders or his campaign team regarding the themes or specific points he intends to address could shift the odds. Unexpected news events or political developments leading up to the rally could also alter trader sentiment. Furthermore, the release of polling data or analysis suggesting a change in Senator Sanders’ strategy might impact the market. Finally, even the perceived tone or emphasis of pre-rally media coverage could contribute to fluctuations in the probabilities reflected in this market.
