Description

This market will resolve to “YES” if, at any point during the week of July 6-10, 2026, the “High” price of the TradingView weekly candle for TSEC Capitalization Weighted Stock Index (TAIEX) (https://www.tradingview.com/chart/?symbol=TWSE%3AIX0001), based on regular trading hours only, is strictly greater than the price specified in the title. Otherwise, the market will resolve to “NO”. For the purposes of resolution, all values will be rounded to two decimal places using standard rounding rules. If the TradingView data for the relevant 1-week candle is inaccessible or not published for more than 24 hours following the market close, resolution defers to the official TAIEX closing value for that trading day as published by the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (https://www.twse.com.tw/en/page/trading/indices/MI_5MINS_HIST.html).

Frequently asked questions

The TAIEX price prediction market dashboard on Limitless tracks real-time odds and historical price movements for this market, which centers on where Taiwan's benchmark stock index will trade during the July 6–10 window. Traders use the dashboard to monitor current implied probabilities for each price outcome, review 24-hour volume activity, and analyze how sentiment has shifted since the market opened. This live data helps participants gauge consensus expectations around the index's near-term direction and identify potential trading opportunities based on recent momentum and order flow.

Prediction market odds reflect the collective judgment of traders betting real money on outcomes, whereas analyst forecasts typically rely on fundamental models and historical patterns. This market aggregates dispersed information from participants who have direct financial incentives to price outcomes accurately. Analyst consensus often lags behind market-implied probabilities during volatile periods, since traders can update their positions instantly. Comparing the two reveals whether professional strategists and the broader trading community align on the TAIEX's near-term trajectory, or whether one group holds a contrarian view worth monitoring.

On Limitless, this market is priced through an automated market maker or order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each price outcome. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform converts trading activity into real-time odds, so the price of each outcome reflects the cumulative bets placed on it. As new information emerges or sentiment shifts, traders adjust their positions, and the odds update dynamically. This continuous repricing ensures that the market price incorporates the latest expectations about where the TAIEX will settle during the specified week.

This market resolves around Jul 10, 2026, once the trading window closes and the TAIEX's price action during July 6–10 becomes final. The outcome is determined by verified price data from credible public sources tracking Taiwan's stock index during that period. Traders who correctly predicted which price band or level the index would reach are credited with winning shares. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the market close, after the index's official closing values are confirmed and matched against the market's predefined outcome categories.

Major catalysts for this market include Taiwan economic data releases, central bank policy announcements, geopolitical developments affecting the region, and broader Asia-Pacific market sentiment. Corporate earnings surprises, currency fluctuations, and shifts in global risk appetite can also drive significant repricing. Traders monitor international stock indices and commodity prices for leading signals, since the TAIEX often correlates with semiconductor demand and regional trade flows. Unexpected political or regulatory news specific to Taiwan may trigger sharp moves, as will any material changes to U.S.–China relations or semiconductor supply-chain dynamics during the prediction window.
