These markets track the hourly rental price of NVIDIA A100 GPU compute resources during the week of August 3-7, 2026. The price reflects what customers pay to access A100 computing power on cloud platforms, which fluctuates based on demand, supply, and market conditions.
Resolution is determined by the NVIDIA A100 compute hourly price as reported by Ornn (https://dashboard.ornnai.com/) on August 7, 2026 at 4 PM ET. Each market corresponds to a specific price threshold: $0.50, $0.75, $1.00, $1.25, $1.50, $1.75, or $2.00 per hour. A market resolves to Yes if the reported price exceeds its designated threshold at the specified time. The USD iteration of the index is used, with values rounded to two decimal places. If Ornn has not published data for the exact date and time, the most recently available published data will be used for resolution. Any revisions to the underlying data made after the expiration time will not be considered in determining the outcome.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they reflect real-money incentives and crowd wisdom rather than single-expert opinion. On this market, traders are wagering on actual A100 pricing data, which can lead to faster price discovery than consensus estimates from research firms. Analyst reports typically lag market movements and may carry institutional biases, whereas prediction markets reward accuracy with direct financial payoff. Comparing the odds here to published analyst ranges on enterprise GPU pricing can reveal where the crowd sees information gaps or disagreement in the market.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different price ranges for the A100. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each contract's price reflects the probability that the A100 will settle within that range by the end of Week 32. Traders submit limit and market orders, and the spread between bid and ask prices tightens as more liquidity enters the market. The platform's matching engine executes trades in real time, so the displayed odds update instantly as new information or sentiment shifts the balance of supply and demand.
This market resolves around Aug 7, 2026, at which point the final A100 compute pricing will be verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the actual price of NVIDIA's A100 at the end of Week 32, confirmed through official pricing data or reputable industry reporting. Once the event is verifiable, the contract settles to the corresponding price bracket, and traders' positions are closed. All open positions are cash-settled based on which outcome occurred.
Several catalysts could shift odds on this market before resolution. NVIDIA earnings announcements or guidance on A100 demand and supply could trigger sharp repricing. Broader semiconductor supply chain disruptions, geopolitical trade restrictions, or competing GPU launches from AMD or other vendors may influence enterprise pricing strategy. Data center spending announcements from major cloud providers, shifts in AI workload demand, or changes in NVIDIA's go-to-market strategy could all move trader expectations. Real-time pricing updates from major cloud vendors or resellers also serve as leading indicators that traders monitor closely.
