This event tracks the hourly rental price of NVIDIA's H200 compute resources during the week of July 27-31, 2026. Participants forecast whether the price will exceed various threshold levels by the end of the week at 4 PM ET on July 31st.
Resolution is based on the NVIDIA H200 compute per-hour pricing data published by Ornn (https://dashboard.ornnai.com/) as of July 31, 2026 at 4 PM ET. If Ornn has not published data for the specified date and time, the most recently available published data will be used instead. All values are expressed in USD, rounded to two decimal places. Any revisions to the underlying data made after the market expiration time will not be considered for resolution purposes.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they reflect real-money incentives and crowd wisdom rather than individual opinions. On this market, traders are betting directly on H200 pricing outcomes, which can reveal information faster than consensus analyst reports. Prediction markets tend to aggregate dispersed knowledge—traders with specialized hardware or supply-chain insight may price in developments before mainstream analysts do. However, analyst forecasts and prediction odds serve complementary roles: analysts provide detailed reasoning and context, while this market distills expectations into a single probability. Comparing both sources can help you triangulate a more complete view of likely outcomes.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different H200 price outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The bid-ask spread reflects the gap between buyers and sellers, and the midpoint approximates the market's implied probability for each outcome. As new information emerges—earnings calls, product announcements, or supply updates—traders adjust their positions, moving the price. Higher volume typically narrows spreads and improves price discovery. The continuous price discovery process ensures that this market reflects the most current collective assessment of where H200 compute pricing will land by week 31's end.
This market resolves around Jul 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution hinges on the actual price of NVIDIA's H200 compute at that specific time. Traders should monitor official NVIDIA announcements, pricing updates, and industry sources as the date approaches. Once the week concludes and pricing data is finalized, the market will settle based on the verified price level. Participants are encouraged to stay informed through official channels and reputable financial news to anticipate any last-minute shifts.
Several catalysts could shift this market significantly before resolution. NVIDIA earnings reports or product roadmap announcements may alter H200 demand and pricing strategy. Competitive pressures from AMD or other chip manufacturers could influence NVIDIA's pricing decisions. Supply-chain developments, geopolitical factors affecting semiconductor production, or major customer announcements (cloud providers, AI labs) can all impact compute pricing. Macroeconomic shifts affecting enterprise spending on AI infrastructure may also play a role. Additionally, any regulatory changes or tariff announcements could ripple through hardware costs. Traders should monitor tech news, earnings calendars, and industry commentary closely for signals that could reshape expectations before week 31 concludes.
