These markets track the hourly rental price of NVIDIA's H200 GPU compute resources during the week of July 20-24, 2026. Participants predict whether the price will exceed various thresholds ($2.50, $3.00, $3.50, $4.00, $4.50, $5.00, $5.50, or $6.50 per hour) as measured at 4 PM ET on July 24, 2026.
Resolution is based on the NVIDIA H200 compute per-hour pricing data published by Ornn (https://dashboard.ornnai.com/) as of July 24, 2026 at 4 PM ET. If Ornn has not published data for the specified date and time, the most recently available published data will be used. The USD iteration of the index is used, with values rounded to two decimal places. Any revisions to the underlying data made after the market expiration time are not considered for resolution purposes.
Prediction markets like this one often diverge from traditional analyst estimates because they aggregate real-money bets rather than surveys or models. Traders who profit from accurate forecasts have strong incentives to price in forward-looking signals—supply constraints, competitive pressures, or demand shifts—faster than consensus reports. Analyst forecasts tend to lag behind market-derived probabilities, especially in fast-moving hardware sectors where pricing can shift week to week. By comparing this market's odds to published analyst price targets, you can identify where professional opinion and trader conviction align or diverge, revealing potential mispricing or emerging consensus.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different price outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share pays out based on where NVIDIA's H200 compute price actually settles, and the bid-ask spread reflects the market's uncertainty. Prices move in real time as new orders flow in, allowing the platform to aggregate dispersed information from thousands of participants. The tighter the spread, the more confident traders are about the likely outcome; wider spreads signal disagreement or low liquidity around certain price ranges.
Several catalysts could shift this market significantly. Announcements of new GPU supply or demand from major cloud providers—AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure—often trigger repricing. Competitive launches from AMD or other chip makers may pressure NVIDIA's pricing strategy. Macroeconomic data affecting enterprise spending, semiconductor tariffs, or supply-chain disruptions can also move the needle. Earnings calls or guidance from NVIDIA executives about H200 availability and pricing power will likely draw trader attention. Finally, real-time pricing updates from major resellers or leaks about volume commitments could reveal whether demand justifies premium pricing or forces discounts.
