This event tracks the hourly rental price of NVIDIA's H100 GPU compute resources during the week of July 20-24, 2026. The price will be measured at 4 PM ET on July 24, 2026, using data from Ornn's pricing dashboard, which aggregates current market rates for cloud-based GPU compute.
Resolution is based on the NVIDIA H100 compute hourly price as reported by Ornn (https://dashboard.ornnai.com/) on July 24, 2026 at 4 PM ET. If Ornn has not published data for the specified date and time, the most recently available published data will be used. The USD iteration of the index applies, with values rounded to two decimal places. Post-expiration revisions to the underlying data are not considered. Each outcome resolves to Yes if the H100 hourly price exceeds its specified threshold ($2.00, $2.25, $2.50, $2.75, $3.00, $3.25, $3.50, $3.75, or $4.00).
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they incorporate real-time, incentivized trading rather than periodic research reports. On this market, traders with direct hardware-pricing expertise or supply-chain insight can move odds faster than consensus analyst updates. Prediction markets reward accuracy with financial gain, creating pressure for prices to reflect ground truth. Analyst forecasts, by contrast, may lag behind market developments or reflect broader institutional assumptions. Comparing the odds here to published analyst estimates on H100 pricing can reveal where the market sees information gaps or disagreement in the broader investment community.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where buyers and sellers submit bids and offers in real time. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform matches trades at the best available price, and the last executed trade sets the visible market price. Traders can place limit orders to buy or sell at their preferred odds, or market orders to execute immediately at the current ask or bid. The spread between buy and sell sides reflects uncertainty and liquidity conditions. As new information about H100 pricing emerges, traders adjust their orders, causing the market price to move and converge toward the expected outcome.
This market resolves around Jul 24, 2026, at which point the outcome is confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution hinges on the actual price or cost metric for NVIDIA's H100 compute at the specified time. Traders should monitor official NVIDIA announcements, pricing databases, and industry publications in the weeks leading up to expiration. Any ambiguity in the final data will be resolved according to Kalshi's standard dispute procedures. Early resolution is possible if the outcome becomes certain before the end date.
Several catalysts could shift odds significantly before resolution. Major NVIDIA product announcements or supply-chain updates directly impact H100 pricing expectations. Broader semiconductor market trends, such as shifts in GPU demand or manufacturing capacity, influence compute costs. Competitor pricing moves or new AI accelerator launches may pressure H100 valuations. Macroeconomic factors like inflation, interest rates, and enterprise IT spending cycles also play a role. Earnings calls, analyst downgrades or upgrades, and geopolitical developments affecting chip exports can trigger rapid repricing. Traders should track industry news, earnings calendars, and regulatory filings closely.
