This event tracks the hourly rental price of NVIDIA's A100 GPU compute resources during the week of July 20-24, 2026. The price will be measured at 4 PM ET on July 24, 2026, using data from Ornn's pricing dashboard, which aggregates current market rates for cloud-based GPU compute.
Resolution is based on the NVIDIA A100 compute hourly price as reported by Ornn (https://dashboard.ornnai.com/) on July 24, 2026 at 4 PM ET. If Ornn has not published data for the specified date and time, the most recently available published data will be used. The USD iteration of the index applies, with values rounded to two decimal places. Post-expiration revisions to the underlying data are not considered. Each outcome resolves to Yes if the A100 hourly price exceeds its specified threshold ($0.50, $0.75, $1.00, $1.25, $1.50, $1.75, or $2.00).
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they aggregate real-money bets from a distributed set of traders rather than relying on a small group of institutional researchers. On this market, odds reflect what participants are willing to stake on specific NVIDIA A100 price levels, incorporating forward-looking sentiment and proprietary research. Analyst reports typically lag market pricing and may not fully account for rapid shifts in GPU demand or supply chain developments. Comparing the two reveals whether the crowd is more or less bullish than consensus estimates, offering traders an alternative lens on expected outcomes.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for contracts tied to specific NVIDIA A100 price ranges or point estimates. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform matches buyers and sellers in real time, and the midpoint of the spread reflects the marginal price at any moment. Each contract's value ranges from $0 to $1, so odds can be read directly from the contract price. Liquidity and trading volume influence how tightly prices cluster around fair value, and wider spreads typically indicate lower participation or higher uncertainty.
This market resolves around Jul 24, 2026, at which point the final NVIDIA A100 compute price will be verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the actual pricing data available at the end of that week, confirmed through established industry reporting or official NVIDIA communications. Once the event is verifiable and the resolution criteria are met, the platform will settle all contracts accordingly. Traders holding positions aligned with the verified outcome receive their payouts, while those on the losing side forfeit their stake.
Several catalysts could shift this market significantly. Major announcements from NVIDIA regarding A100 supply, demand, or pricing strategy would likely trigger sharp moves. Broader GPU market developments—such as competitor product launches, data center spending trends, or AI infrastructure investments—could influence A100 valuations. Macroeconomic shifts affecting enterprise IT budgets and cloud spending may also matter. Earnings calls, industry conferences, and supply chain reports closer to the resolution date could provide fresh information. Traders monitoring these signals and adjusting positions accordingly drive price discovery throughout the contract's lifetime.
