This event tracks the hourly rental price of NVIDIA's H100 GPU compute resources during the week of July 13-17, 2026. The price will be determined by checking the value at 4 PM ET on July 17, 2026, using data from the Ornn pricing dashboard.
Resolution is based on the NVIDIA H100 compute hourly price as reported by Ornn (https://dashboard.ornnai.com/) on July 17, 2026 at 4 PM ET. If Ornn has not published data for the specified date and time, the most recently available published data will be used instead. The USD iteration of the index is used, with values rounded to two decimal places. Any revisions to the underlying data made after the market expiration time are not considered for resolution purposes.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they reflect real-money incentives and live market dynamics rather than static research reports. On this market, traders are directly wagering on H100 pricing outcomes, which can lead to faster price discovery than consensus analyst estimates. Analysts may publish quarterly or periodic reports on GPU pricing trends, while prediction markets update continuously. The odds here represent aggregated trader conviction weighted by capital at risk, offering a complementary signal to published analyst views on semiconductor pricing.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts corresponding to different H100 price outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each contract represents a specific price range or point estimate, and the bid-ask spread reflects the current market's confidence in that outcome. As new information about NVIDIA's pricing strategy, demand, or competitive pressures emerges, traders adjust their positions, moving the odds. The platform's matching engine ensures transparent price discovery, with all trades executed at posted prices.
This market resolves around Jul 17, 2026, at which point the final H100 compute price will be verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by NVIDIA's official pricing or widely reported market rates for H100 compute at that specific time. Once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting, the contract settles and traders receive payouts based on which outcome occurred. The resolution window is fixed, ensuring all participants have a clear deadline for this prediction.
Several catalysts could shift odds in this market. NVIDIA earnings announcements or guidance on H100 demand and supply could signal pricing pressure or strength. Competitive announcements from AMD, Intel, or other chip makers may influence H100 pricing strategy. Macroeconomic data affecting data-center spending, AI infrastructure investment trends, or cloud provider purchasing patterns could also move sentiment. Regulatory developments, geopolitical supply-chain news, or major customer announcements regarding GPU procurement may trigger rapid repricing. Real-time monitoring of tech news and NVIDIA communications is essential for tracking potential market movers.
