This event tracks the hourly rental price of NVIDIA's H100 GPU compute resources during the week of July 6-10, 2026. The price will be measured at 4 PM ET on July 10, 2026, using data from Ornn's pricing dashboard, which aggregates real-time cloud compute pricing across providers.
Resolution is based on the NVIDIA H100 compute hourly price as reported by Ornn (https://dashboard.ornnai.com/) on July 10, 2026 at 4 PM ET. If Ornn has not published data for the specified date and time, the most recently available published data will be used. The USD iteration of the index is used, with values rounded to two decimal places. Any revisions to underlying data made after the market expiration time are not considered. Each outcome resolves to Yes if the H100 hourly price exceeds its specified threshold ($2.00, $2.25, $2.50, $2.75, $3.00, $3.25, $3.50, $3.75, or $4.00).
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they aggregate real-money bets from traders with direct financial incentives to forecast accurately. While sell-side analysts may publish quarterly targets based on historical models and company guidance, this market reflects the collective judgment of participants who profit or lose based on actual outcomes. Analysts typically revise forecasts quarterly; prediction markets update continuously. Both sources offer value—analysts provide detailed reasoning and industry context, while markets reveal crowd expectations under uncertainty. Comparing the two can highlight where consensus may be overconfident or where emerging data has not yet reached published research.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where buyers and sellers submit bids and offers for contracts tied to the H100 compute price outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform matches trades in real time, and the last executed price becomes the market price visible to all participants. Traders can place limit orders to wait for their target price or use market orders for immediate execution. The spread between bid and ask reflects liquidity and uncertainty; tighter spreads indicate high confidence and trading volume, while wider spreads suggest lower participation or disagreement about the likely outcome.
This market resolves around Jul 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution hinges on the verified price of NVIDIA's H100 compute offering at the specified time. Traders should monitor official NVIDIA communications, pricing announcements, and third-party benchmarking sources as the resolution date approaches. Any ambiguity in pricing methodology or timing will be clarified by the platform's resolution team before final settlement. Early clarity on resolution criteria helps traders manage positions and reduces disputes at settlement.
Several catalysts could shift odds significantly before Week 28 closes. NVIDIA earnings calls and product announcements often trigger repricing, especially if management discusses H100 demand, supply constraints, or pricing strategy. Competitive launches from AMD, Intel, or custom silicon providers may pressure pricing expectations. Macroeconomic data affecting AI spending, cloud capex guidance from hyperscalers, and geopolitical developments (export controls, tariffs) can all influence compute pricing. Industry analyst downgrades or upgrades, customer commentary, and data center utilization trends also move sentiment. Traders should track tech earnings season, regulatory filings, and industry conferences for material updates.
