This event tracks the hourly rental price of NVIDIA's A100 GPU compute resources during the week of July 6-10, 2026. The price will be measured at 4 PM ET on July 10, 2026, using data from Ornn's pricing dashboard, which aggregates real-time cloud compute pricing across providers.
Resolution is based on the NVIDIA A100 compute hourly price as reported by Ornn (https://dashboard.ornnai.com/) on July 10, 2026 at 4 PM ET. If Ornn has not published data for the specified date and time, the most recently available published data will be used. The USD iteration of the index is used, with values rounded to two decimal places. Any revisions to underlying data made after the market expiration time are not considered. Each outcome resolves to Yes if the A100 hourly price exceeds its specified threshold ($0.50, $0.75, $1.00, $1.25, $1.50, $1.75, or $2.00).
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they reflect real-money incentives and continuous price discovery rather than periodic reports. In this market, traders betting on A100 pricing incorporate hardware supply trends, data center demand, and competitive dynamics that may not be fully captured in analyst models. Prediction markets tend to update faster when new information emerges, whereas analyst estimates may lag by weeks or months. Comparing this market's odds to published forecasts can reveal where professional consensus and crowd wisdom align or diverge on near-term compute pricing.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different A100 price outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has its own price, ranging from 0 to 100 cents, reflecting the collective probability assigned by active traders. As new information about NVIDIA's pricing strategy, supply constraints, or demand shifts emerges, traders adjust their bids and asks, causing prices to move in real time. The spread between buy and sell prices reflects market liquidity and uncertainty around the final outcome.
This market resolves around Jul 10, 2026, at which point the final A100 compute price will be verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the actual pricing announced or confirmed by NVIDIA at the end of Week 28. Once the event is verifiable from authoritative reporting, the market settles and traders receive payouts based on which outcome they held. Resolution timing is fixed, ensuring all participants know the exact deadline for trading and outcome determination.
Several catalysts could shift this market significantly before resolution. NVIDIA earnings announcements or guidance on data center pricing would directly impact expectations. Competitive moves by AMD or other GPU makers, changes in cloud provider demand, or macroeconomic shifts affecting enterprise spending could all influence A100 pricing forecasts. Supply chain developments, geopolitical trade restrictions, or new product launches might alter the competitive landscape. Traders monitor industry news, earnings calls, and analyst commentary closely, as any credible signal about NVIDIA's pricing strategy or market conditions can trigger rapid repricing across outcome ranges.
