This event tracks the hourly rental price of NVIDIA's H100 GPU compute resources during the week of June 29 - July 3, 2026. The price will be measured at 4 PM ET on July 3, 2026, using data from the Ornn pricing dashboard, which aggregates real-time cloud compute pricing across providers.
Resolution is based on the NVIDIA H100 compute hourly rate as reported by Ornn (https://dashboard.ornnai.com/) on July 3, 2026 at 4 PM ET. The event uses tiered price thresholds, with each threshold determining a separate binary outcome. If Ornn has not published data for the specified date and time, the most recently available published data will be used instead. All values are sourced from the USD iteration of the index and rounded to two decimal places. Any revisions to underlying data made after the market expiration time are not considered for resolution purposes.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they reflect real-money incentives and continuous price discovery rather than periodic published reports. In this market, traders are directly wagering on H100 compute pricing, which can lead to faster incorporation of supply-chain news, competitive announcements, or shifts in data-center demand. Analyst forecasts typically lag behind market-moving events, whereas prediction markets adjust instantly as new information arrives. Comparing the two reveals whether consensus among professional researchers aligns with the distributed judgment of active traders betting their capital on the outcome.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where buyers and sellers submit bids and offers on the outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price reflects the marginal trade—the last executed transaction—and moves as new orders flow in or existing positions are closed. Traders can enter or exit at any time during the market's active window, and the bid-ask spread tightens or widens based on liquidity and conviction. This real-time pricing model ensures that the odds always represent the most recent consensus among active participants.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution hinges on establishing the actual H100 compute pricing at the specified time, measured against agreed benchmarks. Participants should monitor official announcements, pricing databases, and industry publications as the resolution date approaches. Once the data is finalized and verified, the market will settle and payouts will be distributed to holders of the winning outcome.
Several catalysts could shift this market significantly. Major announcements from NVIDIA regarding H100 availability, production capacity, or pricing strategy would likely trigger sharp moves. Competitive pressure from alternative accelerators or changes in enterprise GPU demand could also reshape expectations. Supply-chain disruptions, geopolitical developments affecting semiconductor trade, or shifts in data-center spending patterns may influence pricing. Additionally, quarterly earnings reports, industry conferences, or analyst downgrades or upgrades could prompt traders to reassess their positions. Real-time monitoring of tech news and NVIDIA communications is essential for staying ahead of market-moving developments.
