This event tracks the hourly rental price of NVIDIA's A100 GPU compute resources during the week of June 29 - July 3, 2026. The price will be measured at 4 PM ET on July 3, 2026, using data from the Ornn pricing dashboard, which aggregates real-time cloud compute pricing across providers.
Resolution is based on the NVIDIA A100 compute hourly rate as reported by Ornn (https://dashboard.ornnai.com/) on July 3, 2026 at 4 PM ET. The event uses tiered price thresholds, with each threshold determining a separate binary outcome. If Ornn has not published data for the specified date and time, the most recently available published data will be used instead. All values are sourced from the USD iteration of the index and rounded to two decimal places. Any revisions to underlying data made after the market expiration time are not considered for resolution purposes.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they reflect real-money incentives and continuous price discovery rather than periodic reports. While equity analysts and hardware consultants may publish quarterly or annual pricing outlooks, this market aggregates live trader conviction—updated second-by-second as new data surfaces. Traders betting on A100 pricing incorporate supply-chain signals, competitive dynamics, and demand trends faster than formal research cycles. Comparing the odds here to published analyst estimates can reveal where the market sees pricing pressure or stability that consensus views may have missed.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing different A100 price outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The platform matches buyers and sellers in real time, with the contract price reflecting the probability traders assign to each outcome. As new information emerges—earnings calls, supply announcements, or competitive moves—traders adjust their positions, and prices update accordingly. This continuous repricing ensures the odds stay aligned with current market expectations.
This market resolves around Jul 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once NVIDIA's A100 compute pricing at that time is verifiable from credible public sources. The resolution hinges on the actual list or effective pricing for A100 accelerators as published by NVIDIA or reported by authorized vendors during the specified week. Once the data is finalized and cross-checked against reliable industry reporting, the market settles and payouts are distributed to winning positions.
Several catalysts could shift odds in this market. NVIDIA earnings announcements or guidance on data-center demand would influence expectations around A100 pricing power. Competitive launches from AMD or other GPU makers could pressure pricing downward. Supply-chain disruptions or geopolitical developments affecting chip availability might tighten supply and support higher prices. Major cloud-provider procurement announcements or shifts in AI workload adoption could also reshape demand and pricing dynamics. Regulatory changes affecting export or tariffs on semiconductors represent another wild card traders will monitor closely.
