This set of markets tracks the performance of the USDSEK exchange rate at a specific future moment. Each market evaluates whether the rate surpasses a particular threshold, allowing participants to speculate on potential movements in the currency pair.
All markets resolve based on the opening candlestick value of the USDSEK exchange rate published by Pyth at 5pm ET on August 28, 2026. Each market has a unique threshold, ranging from 9.469 to 9.507. If the rate at the specified time is above the respective threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Data rounding is to four decimal places unless otherwise specified. If Pyth data is unavailable at the exact time, the most recent available value is used. Post-expiration revisions to the underlying data do not affect resolution.
Compared to traditional analyst forecasts, prediction market odds for this market often capture a broader set of expectations, including tail risks and sentiment from active traders. While analysts may rely on macroeconomic models and policy outlooks, the market price incorporates real-time betting behavior and can diverge noticeably, especially ahead of major central bank announcements or Swedish economic data releases.
On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Kalshi, traders set the price through continuous bidding and asking, with the current top outcome reflecting the majority view. The market uses a logarithmic market design to encourage accurate pricing, and volume of $1,214 shows the level of trader interest. Prices adjust dynamically as new information emerges about U.S. and Swedish monetary policy.
This market resolves around Aug 28, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the exchange rate is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final price will be determined by the official closing value at the specified time, removing any ambiguity for market participants. Traders can monitor major financial news sources for real-time updates as the resolution date approaches.
Key events that could shift this market include Swedish or U.S. central bank interest rate decisions, inflation data releases, geopolitical developments affecting Nordic trade, and broader risk-on or risk-off sentiment in global currency markets. Traders will also watch oil prices and commodity flows, as Sweden’s export-driven economy makes it sensitive to external demand shifts.
