This market will resolve according to the UK real gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate (% change) for Q3 of 2026 compared with the most recent quarter (quarter-on-previous-quarter) in the "GDP first quarterly estimate, UK" release for Q3 of 2026, scheduled for November 12, 2026. The GDP release will be made available here: https://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/grossdomesticproductgdp/bulletins/gdpfirstquarterlyestimateuk/previousreleases If no data for the specified quarter is released by the date the next quarter's data is scheduled to be released, this market will resolve based on data from the last available quarter. Note: data from the initial release of the referenced GDP report is what will be used to resolve this market. Data may be revised during the following quarter or as a part of the next estimate's publication, however any revisions to GDP report data made after the initial release will not be considered for this market's resolution. Note: the resolution source for this market reports GDP growth rates to only one decimal point (e.g. 1.8%). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.

Currently, prediction market participants are weighing in on the UK’s economic future. It's common to see differences between these probabilities and those offered by traditional economic forecasts. Analysts’ predictions are often based on complex models and assumptions, while this market reflects the collective judgment of individuals putting their capital at risk. Discrepancies can highlight areas where the market anticipates different outcomes than conventional wisdom suggests, or where traders have access to information not fully incorporated into standard economic projections. It will be interesting to see how this market evolves as new data emerges.
This market resolves around Nov 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official Q3 2026 UK GDP growth figure is verifiable from credible public reporting. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is the typical source for this data. The market will settle based on the quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) percentage change in real GDP. Traders will be looking closely at economic indicators released in the months leading up to resolution to refine their predictions. The final reported figure will determine which outcome pays out.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Major economic releases, such as inflation data, employment figures, and manufacturing reports, will be closely watched. Unexpected political developments, including changes in government policy or international trade agreements, could also shift expectations. Global economic shocks, like a recession in a major trading partner, could influence the UK’s growth prospects. Furthermore, any revisions to previous GDP figures or shifts in consumer and business confidence could lead to substantial movements in this market as traders adjust their assessments.
