This market will resolve according to Silver Bulletin's approval rating for Donald Trump on September 25, 2026. Note that the approval ratings for this date must be finalized before it is considered for this market (namely, once the next data point is available, the previous one is finalized). This market's resolution source will be Silver Bulletin's approval rating poll aggregator, https://www.natesilver.net/p/trump-approval-ratings-nate-silver-bulletin, specifically the approval rating indicated by the green trend line for the resolution date. Changes in the methodology by which Silver Bulletin calculates the approval rating will have no bearing on the resolution of this market. If Silver Bulletin's approval rating becomes permanently unavailable, RealClearPolitics will be used. The resolution source reports the rating value to only one decimal point (e.g., 42.8%, 33.9%, etc.). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.

Currently, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional polling averages. While polls attempt to capture a snapshot of current opinion, this market reflects what traders believe will be the approval rating on a specific future date, Sep 25, 2026. This incorporates not only current sentiment but also expectations about events that may influence public opinion between now and then. Historically, prediction markets have sometimes been more accurate than polls in forecasting political outcomes, as they aggregate diverse information and incentivize accurate predictions.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief about the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. The market is highly liquid, allowing traders to easily enter and exit positions, and the price movements provide a real-time gauge of sentiment regarding the former president’s approval rating.
This market resolves around Sep 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will resolve to the approval rating reported by a widely-recognized polling organization on that date. The exact methodology used by the polling organization will be the determining factor, but it will be a standard, publicly available approval rating measure. Traders should monitor news sources for the official poll results as the resolution date approaches.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before Sep 25, 2026.
