The competition tracks which AI model achieves the highest ranking on the Datacurve DeepSWE leaderboard by October 31, 2026. Models from major tech companies compete based on their performance in handling complex software engineering tasks.
Each market resolves to Yes if the respective AI model is ranked highest on the Datacurve DeepSWE leaderboard as of October 31, 2026 at 10:00am ET. If multiple models tie for the highest rank, the publisher's official tie-breaking methodology determines the outcome; if none exists, all tied models share the highest rank. Contracts for tied models resolve to $1 divided by the number of tied candidates, rounded down. Currently, the odds in this market reflect a different perspective than many analyst forecasts. While some analysts predict a clear frontrunner, the prediction market shows a more distributed probability across several coding AIs. This divergence often happens because prediction markets aggregate the wisdom of many traders, potentially incorporating information not yet reflected in traditional analysis. It's a dynamic comparison, and the market’s view can shift rapidly based on new information or developments in the field of AI. This market offers a unique view beyond standard expert opinions.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief in the probability of each coding AI being the top performer. The price of a contract reflects the market’s collective assessment of that outcome’s likelihood. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect new information and changing sentiment. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market odds are constantly updated and represent the most current expectations of participants.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the leading coding AI for the month is verified against credible public reporting. The determination will be based on widely accepted benchmarks and evaluations of coding AI performance, as assessed by industry experts and publications. The resolution will reflect which AI is demonstrably considered the top performer based on objective criteria and public consensus. The final outcome will be clearly defined and verifiable, ensuring a transparent resolution process for all participants in this market.
Several signals could significantly impact this market. Major announcements regarding new features or capabilities of specific coding AIs, benchmark test results demonstrating superior performance, or significant adoption by leading tech companies are all potential catalysts. Unexpected bugs or limitations discovered in a leading AI could also shift sentiment. Furthermore, influential blog posts or reports from respected AI researchers could sway market opinion. Any event that alters the perceived likelihood of one coding AI outperforming others has the potential to move this market considerably before Oct 31, 2026.
