PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both platforms agree that the market resolves based on which party's candidate is inaugurated as governor of Texas following the 2026 election.Primary resolution logic: Associated Press, Fox News, NBC, and official election certification.

Core resolution logic:

  • The market resolves to 'Yes' if a Republican candidate is inaugurated as governor.
  • The market resolves to 'Yes' if a Democratic candidate is inaugurated as governor.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Tie or Disputed Election: In the event of a tie or a heavily disputed election that prevents a clear inauguration, the official certification of the election results will be used to determine the winner. Polymarket specifically mentions official certification as a fallback.
  • Independent Candidate Wins: If an independent candidate wins, both platforms will resolve to 'No' for markets specifically asking about Republican or Democratic wins, but Polymarket's 'Other' market would resolve to 'Yes'.
Timing: The market will resolve upon the inauguration of the winning candidate, or upon official certification of the election results if no candidate is inaugurated (e.g., due to legal challenges). Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market will resolve according to the winner of the 2026 Texas gubernatorial election. A candidate shall be considered to represent a party in the event that he or she is the nominee of the party in question. Candidates other than the Democratic or Republican nominee (e.g., Greens, Libertarian, independent) may be added at a later date. Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party. The candidates may be named in the contract for the convenience of traders. In the event that any named candidate is replaced as the nominee of their respective party prior to election day, the name in the contract will be updated and the market will resolve based on the replacement nominee of the party. The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources call the race for the same candidate. If all three sources haven’t called the race in this state for the same candidate, this market will resolve based on the official certification.

Kalshi

If a representative of the Democratic party is inaugurated as the governor of Texas pursuant to the 2026 election, then the market resolves to Yes. If a representative of the Republican party is inaugurated as the governor of Texas pursuant to the 2026 election, then the market resolves to Yes.
