This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Tesla, Inc. (TSLA) on June 12 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Tesla, Inc. (TSLA) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TSLA/history, published under "Historical Prices."

Prediction market odds often diverge from consensus analyst price targets because they incorporate real-money incentives and crowd wisdom rather than relying on a single firm's model. Analysts may publish a $250 target, yet this market might price in a different probability based on recent volatility, earnings surprises, or macroeconomic shifts. Prediction markets update continuously as new information arrives, whereas analyst forecasts are typically refreshed quarterly or after major events. Comparing the two reveals whether the crowd sees upside or downside risk that traditional Wall Street research may have missed or underweighted.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds through an automated market maker (AMM) that adjusts prices based on buy and sell pressure. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share of "Yes" or "No" trades at a price between 0 and 1 cent, where the current price reflects the implied probability. When more traders buy "Yes," the price rises; when they sell, it falls. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays liquid and responsive to new information about Tesla's stock trajectory through the resolution date.
This market resolves around Jun 12, 2026, after the market close on June 12. The outcome is determined by verifying Tesla's official closing price on that date against credible public financial sources. Once the price is confirmed, the market settles automatically: traders holding the correct outcome receive their winnings, while incorrect positions expire worthless. The resolution is objective and based on widely reported stock data, ensuring transparency and fairness across all participants.
Major catalysts include Tesla earnings announcements, changes to interest rates or inflation expectations, regulatory news affecting EV subsidies or safety, and Elon Musk's public statements on production or strategy. Broader market swings—driven by tech sector rotation, recession fears, or geopolitical events—can also shift sentiment. Competitor announcements, supply-chain updates, and macroeconomic data releases may trigger repricing. Short-term technical factors like options expiry and index rebalancing can create volatility. Traders monitor all these signals to adjust their positions and lock in gains or cut losses before the June 12 close.
