Description

This market will resolve to "Yes" if the official closing price for Tesla, Inc. (TSLA) on July 7 is higher than the listed price. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." If the final session is shortened (for example, due to a market-holiday schedule), the official closing price published for that shortened session will still be used for resolution. If no official closing price is published for that session (for example, due to a trading halt into the close, system issue, delisting, or other disruption), the market will use the last valid on-exchange trade price of the regular session as the effective closing price. In the event of a stock split, reverse stock split, or similar corporate action affecting the listed company during the listed time frame, this market will resolve based on split-adjusted prices as displayed on Yahoo Finance. The target price will be adjusted proportionally to reflect any stock splits. Resolution will be based on the historical price data as shown on Yahoo Finance after any adjustments have been applied. The resolution source for this market is Yahoo Finance, specifically the Tesla, Inc. (TSLA) "Close" prices available at https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TSLA/history, published under "Historical Prices."

Frequently asked questions

The Tesla stock price market dashboard on Polymarket tracks real-time odds and historical price movements for whether TSLA will close above a specified level on July 7. Traders buy and sell shares representing yes or no outcomes, with the current market price reflecting the collective probability estimate. The dashboard displays the leading outcome, live bid-ask spreads, and trading activity to help participants monitor sentiment and liquidity as the event date approaches.

Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst price targets because they aggregate real-money bets from a diverse crowd rather than relying on a small number of institutional forecasters. While sell-side analysts publish periodic reports on Tesla's valuation and growth prospects, this market distills those views—plus options traders, retail sentiment, and breaking news—into a single, continuously updated probability. Markets tend to react faster to new information, though both sources can be wrong.

On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on order flow and liquidity. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on the outcome, and the market price reflects the probability implied by recent trades. Participants can enter or exit positions at any time before the deadline, with tighter spreads typically appearing during peak trading hours when volume is highest.

This market resolves around Jul 7, 2026, once the trading window closes and the outcome can be verified against credible public sources. The resolution hinges on whether Tesla's closing price on that date exceeds the specified threshold. Participants should monitor official market data and company announcements leading up to the deadline to inform their positions.

Key catalysts include Tesla earnings reports, macroeconomic data affecting tech stocks, Federal Reserve policy announcements, and company-specific news such as product launches or leadership changes. Broader market volatility, shifts in EV adoption sentiment, and competitor announcements can also influence TSLA's trajectory. Traders often react sharply to intraday price swings and options expiration dates, so this market may see significant movement in the final trading sessions before July 7.
