This market will resolve according to the number of times Ted Cruz (@tedcruz), posts on X between July 7, 12:00 PM ET and July 14, 2026, 12:00 PM ET. For the purposes of this market, only main feed posts, quote posts and reposts will count. Replies will NOT count towards the total - however, replies which are recorded on the main feed will be counted by the tracker. Deleted posts will count as long as they remain available long enough to be captured by the tracker (~5 minutes). The resolution source for this market is the "Post Counter" figure for posts found at https://xtracker.polymarket.com. Individual posts can be viewed by clicking "Export Data". If the tracker does not update correctly in accordance with the rules, X itself may be used as a secondary resolution source.

Prediction markets and traditional polls measure different phenomena. While polling surveys ask respondents about opinions or preferences, this market quantifies trader expectations about a measurable, verifiable event: the actual count of social media posts. Prediction market odds reflect financial incentives—traders profit by accurately forecasting outcomes—whereas polls capture sentiment at a single moment. For events with clear, observable results like post counts, prediction markets often incorporate real-time information and adjust rapidly as new data emerges, potentially offering a complementary view to static survey snapshots.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker mechanism, where each outcome contract trades against a liquidity pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the collective probability estimate of all active traders; higher prices indicate greater confidence in that outcome occurring. As traders buy and sell contracts based on their expectations of Senator Cruz's posting activity during July 7–14, 2026, the market price continuously adjusts. This dynamic pricing allows new information and shifting sentiment to be reflected in real time.
This market resolves around Jul 14, 2026, after the trading window closes and the week of July 7–14, 2026 concludes. The outcome is determined by counting the total number of posts Senator Cruz publishes across his verified social media accounts during that period. Once the event period ends, the result is verified against credible public sources and the winning outcome is confirmed. Traders who correctly predicted the post count range receive their payout based on the final verified tally.
Several factors may shift trader expectations and market prices leading up to resolution. Major political announcements, legislative activity, or campaign developments involving Senator Cruz could influence his social media engagement patterns. Changes in his communication strategy, responses to breaking news, or shifts in his public visibility may prompt traders to adjust their forecasts. Additionally, historical posting patterns and seasonal trends in congressional activity during early July could inform trading decisions. Real-time updates on his activity level during the week itself will likely drive significant price movements as traders refine their predictions based on observed behavior.
