Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Sweden on September 13, 2026. Each market will resolve to "Yes" if the specified party receives at least one seat in the Swedish Riksdag as a result of the 2026 Swedish parliamentary elections. Otherwise that market will resolve to "No". Seats will be counted only where they are attributed to the specified party. Seats attributed to another party or electoral designation will not count, regardless of electoral cooperation, endorsements, coalition agreements, or subsequent parliamentary-group arrangements. If the specified party formally merges into a successor party before the election and does not contest separately, seats officially attributed to that successor party will count. If the results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, each market will resolve to "No". Each market's resolution will be based solely on the number of seats won by the specified party in this election. This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Swedish government, specifically the Swedish Election Authority (Valmyndigheten) (https://www.val.se/).

On Polymarket, this market is priced using a continuous double auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether a particular party will win seats in the Swedish parliament. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust, providing a dynamic and real-time assessment of the election’s potential results. The market’s efficiency relies on the wisdom of the crowd and the incentives for traders to accurately predict the outcome.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final official results of the Swedish parliamentary election are verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on which parties are officially allocated seats in the Riksdag, the Swedish parliament, following the election. The process relies on publicly available data and established electoral procedures to determine the winning parties and their representation. The market will settle to reflect the actual composition of the parliament following the election.
Several signals or events could significantly impact this market before resolution. Major shifts in public opinion, as reflected in late-stage polling data, would likely cause price adjustments. Unexpected political scandals involving key party leaders or significant policy announcements could also move the market. Economic developments, such as a sudden change in unemployment rates or inflation, might influence voter sentiment and therefore trading activity. Finally, any unforeseen geopolitical events impacting Sweden or its neighboring countries could introduce volatility into this market.
