This set of markets tracks where the S&P 500 index will close on a specific date, dividing possible outcomes into narrow, sequential ranges. Each market corresponds to a specific price band, allowing participants to speculate on the precise level of the index at the close of trading. The resolution depends solely on the official index value at the specified time.
All markets resolve based on the end-of-day value of the S&P 500 index on August 10, 2026, at 4pm EDT. Each market corresponds to a specific numerical range, and the market resolves to 'Yes' if the closing value falls within that range. Markets close on August 10, 2026, and expiration occurs at the sooner of the first official data release or one week after the closing date. The Exchange has applied modifications to the Source Agency and Underlying for index markets as per the Kalshi Rulebook, but these do not alter the core resolution mechanism tied to the index's closing value.
