This set of markets tracks the performance of a major stock market index at a specific moment in the future. Each market represents a different threshold value that the index must exceed to settle as 'Yes'. The outcome depends entirely on the index's level at the exact specified time and date.
All markets share identical event-level rules governing their resolution. Each market resolves to 'Yes' if the S&P 500 index value at 1pm EDT on September 8, 2026 exceeds a specific threshold defined in the individual market rule. Thresholds vary incrementally across markets, with each market having a unique target value (e.g., above 7,550, above 7,555, etc.). All markets close on September 08, 2026, and expire either upon the first official release of the index value or one week after the specified date, whichever occurs first. The Exchange has applied modifications to the source agency and underlying for index markets as per the Kalshi Rulebook, but these modifications do not alter the core resolution mechanism described above. Settlement for all markets hinges exclusively on the index's value at the precise closing timestamp, with no additional conditions or adjustments applied post-expiration.
