This set of markets tracks potential future performance of a major stock market index on a specific date and time. Each market represents a different threshold value that the index might surpass, allowing participants to speculate on various levels of market performance.
All markets share identical secondary rules and resolve based on the S&P 500 index value at 2pm EDT on September 28, 2026. Each market has a unique primary rule specifying a different threshold value; if the index closes above that precise threshold (e.g., 7549.9999 or higher), the market resolves to 'Yes.' Markets close on the event date and expire either when the index data is first released or one week afterward, whichever occurs first. The Exchange has applied specific modifications to the source agency and underlying for all index-related markets as noted in the Kalshi Rulebook.
