On Polymarket, this market reflects trader sentiment rather than traditional polling data. While polls might show varying levels of support for candidates, the odds here are driven by real-time trading activity and can diverge significantly from survey results. Traders may price in factors not captured by polls, such as perceived momentum or strategic advantages. This allows for a dynamic view that updates continuously as new information emerges, offering a different perspective compared to static polling averages.
This market resolves around Sep 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the election result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final tally of valid votes, as officially announced by the relevant electoral authority, will determine which candidate is declared the winner and therefore settles this market.
Key events that could shift odds in this market include major polling updates, debates or public appearances by candidates, shifts in international recognition or diplomatic pressure, and any changes to voting procedures or eligibility rules. Economic announcements, security developments, or unexpected incidents involving candidates can also cause rapid price movements as traders reassess risks and probabilities.
