Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, Solana Up or Down - May 31, 9PM ET is priced as a binary contract with two outcomes: SOL trading up or down at the resolution timestamp. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares at prices between 0 and 1 cent, with the winning outcome settling at 1 cent and the losing outcome at zero. The current market price reflects the probability each side commands; higher prices indicate stronger conviction. Volume and bid-ask spreads show how liquid each outcome is, helping traders assess execution costs.

The market resolves at Jun 1, 2026. The outcome is determined by Solana's price at the specified resolution time, with the market settling based on whether SOL closed higher or lower relative to the opening price at that moment. Resolution relies on verified price data from established sources. Once the timestamp passes, the winning outcome is confirmed and shares are automatically settled, with winners receiving their payout and losers receiving nothing.

Key catalysts for SOL price movement include Solana network upgrades, validator performance announcements, and ecosystem funding news. Broader crypto sentiment shifts driven by Bitcoin or Ethereum volatility, regulatory developments, or macroeconomic data often drag altcoins along. On-chain metrics like transaction volume and active addresses can signal strength or weakness. Major exchange listings, partnerships, or security incidents involving Solana projects may trigger sharp directional moves. Traders should monitor Solana's technical levels, funding rates on derivatives exchanges, and social sentiment for early signals of directional bias.
