This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the SOL/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the SOL/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/SOL_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance SOL/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect trader consensus on Solana's directional move by May 30, 8PM ET, but differ from spot price forecasts made by traditional analysts or on-chain sentiment tools. While spot price expectations focus on absolute price targets, prediction markets distill binary outcomes into probabilities. Comparing Polymarket odds to analyst surveys or social media sentiment can reveal whether the market is pricing in more bullish or bearish conviction than mainstream commentary. Divergences often signal where informed traders see value.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary contract where traders buy and sell shares representing "Up" or "Down" outcomes. The current odds reflect the balance of buy and sell orders in the order book. Prices range from 0 to 1, where higher prices indicate stronger market belief in that outcome. Traders profit by buying low and selling high, or by holding until resolution. Polymarket uses an automated market maker model, so prices adjust continuously as volume flows in and out of each side.
The market resolves on May 31, 2026. At that moment, Solana's price is assessed to determine whether it has moved up or down from a reference point established at market creation. The outcome is binary: the winning side receives the full payout, and the losing side receives nothing. Resolution timing is strict to ensure all traders have equal information at the snapshot moment. Once the outcome is confirmed, Polymarket settles all positions automatically and credits winnings to trader accounts.
Major catalysts include Solana network upgrades, validator performance announcements, regulatory developments affecting crypto, Bitcoin price movements (which often correlate with altcoin direction), and macroeconomic data releases. Ecosystem news—such as new dApp launches, partnerships, or security incidents—can shift trader sentiment rapidly. On-chain metrics like transaction volume and active addresses may also influence directional bets. Broader crypto market sentiment, Federal Reserve policy signals, and institutional adoption announcements are additional factors that could push Solana's price up or down before the May 30, 8PM ET snapshot.
