This market will resolve to "Up" if the close price is greater than or equal to the open price for the SOL/USDT 1 hour candle that begins on the time and date specified in the title. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Binance, specifically the SOL/USDT pair (https://www.binance.com/en/trade/SOL_USDT). The close « C » and open « O » displayed at the top of the graph for the relevant "1H" candle will be used once the data for that candle is finalized. Please note that this market is about the price according to Binance SOL/USDT, not according to other exchanges or trading pairs.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, the Solana Up or Down - June 8, 6AM ET market is priced as binary shares, with one contract representing an "Up" outcome and another representing "Down." The price of each share reflects the market's implied probability, ranging from 0 to 100 cents. Traders buy shares they believe will resolve to 100 cents (correct outcome) and sell those they expect to resolve to zero. Polymarket's automated market maker adjusts prices continuously based on order flow, so the odds you see represent the live consensus of all active traders on Solana's directional movement by the resolution timestamp.
The market resolves at Jun 8, 2026. At that moment, the outcome is determined by comparing Solana's price at resolution against its price at market creation or a specified reference point. The winning outcome is decided based on whether Solana has moved in the "Up" or "Down" direction according to the market's predefined criteria. Once resolved, winning shares are worth 100 cents and losing shares expire worthless, with payouts distributed automatically to traders who held the correct outcome.
Several catalysts could shift odds for this market. Major Solana ecosystem announcements, network upgrades, or validator performance issues may trigger directional moves. Broader crypto market sentiment, Bitcoin price action, and macroeconomic news also influence Solana's trajectory. Regulatory developments affecting Solana or the crypto sector, large whale transactions, or changes in developer activity on-chain could reshape trader expectations. Additionally, technical levels, liquidation cascades, and shifts in institutional positioning may create volatility that moves the implied probability between Up and Down outcomes leading into the June 8 resolution.
