Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the Solana price movement market dashboard displays real-time odds and historical price data for this event, which runs from 4:00 AM to 8:00 AM ET on June 14. Traders use the interface to view current probabilities assigned to each outcome—whether SOL moves up or down during that four-hour window—along with 24-hour volume and order book depth. The dashboard reflects live market sentiment as participants buy and sell shares, updating continuously to show how conviction shifts as the event window approaches and unfolds.

Prediction market odds often diverge from analyst forecasts and spot price momentum because they incorporate real-money incentives and collective intelligence from traders with skin in the game. While traditional spot price analysis may rely on technical indicators or recent volatility, this market aggregates the beliefs of participants who profit only if their prediction is correct. The odds you see reflect a crowd-sourced probability estimate, which can outperform individual analyst calls but may also lag or lead spot price moves depending on information asymmetries and trader positioning.

On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker or order-book mechanism, where each share of an outcome is worth between 0 and 1 cent, representing its implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see is the last traded price, and you can buy or sell at the current bid-ask spread. As more capital flows into one outcome, its price rises and the competing outcome falls, ensuring the two probabilities sum to 100 cents. This continuous repricing mechanism allows the market to rapidly absorb new information about Solana's likely price direction during the specified window.

This market resolves around Jun 14, 2026, once the four-hour trading window closes and Solana's price movement can be verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing SOL's price at the start of the window (4:00 AM ET) to its price at the end (8:00 AM ET) on June 14. If the closing price is higher, the up outcome wins; if lower, the down outcome wins. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the window's end, after sufficient time for price data to be confirmed and finalized.

Major catalysts for this market include Solana network status updates, on-chain activity metrics, broader crypto market sentiment, and macroeconomic news released during or just before the trading window. Regulatory announcements, Bitcoin or Ethereum price swings, and developer ecosystem milestones can shift trader conviction rapidly. Additionally, intraday volatility, liquidation cascades on leveraged positions, and large institutional trades can create sharp price moves within the four-hour window. Monitoring social sentiment, on-chain volume, and correlated asset performance in real time helps traders anticipate directional pressure.
