This market will resolve to "Up" if the Solana price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the SOL/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/sol-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream SOL/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.
On Polymarket, this event is priced as a binary outcome contract where traders buy and sell shares representing either an up or down move for Solana during the June 1st, 8:00AM–12:00PM ET window. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the collective assessment of Polymarket participants, with prices fluctuating based on order flow and new information. Traders can enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes, and the final settlement price is determined by the actual Solana price movement during the specified interval. Liquidity and trading volume on Polymarket directly influence how tightly bid-ask spreads trade around the fair-value midpoint.
The market resolves at Jun 1, 2026 after the four-hour observation window closes. The outcome is determined by comparing Solana's price at the start of the window (8:00AM ET on June 1st) to its price at the end (12:00PM ET on June 1st). If the price is higher at 12:00PM, the Up outcome wins; if lower, the Down outcome wins. The exact price source and tie-breaking rules are specified in the market's terms. Once the window closes and prices are finalized, the market settles automatically and traders receive payouts based on their positions.
Several catalysts could influence Solana's price during the June 1st window. Macro crypto events—such as Bitcoin or Ethereum price swings, Federal Reserve announcements, or broader market risk sentiment—often drive altcoin movement. Solana-specific news, including network upgrades, validator performance, or major partnerships, could shift trader positioning. Early morning U.S. market opens and Asian market closes may introduce volatility. Technical levels and support/resistance zones established before the window opens will likely attract algorithmic trading. Additionally, options expiry, futures funding rates, and liquidation cascades in leveraged positions can amplify intraday directional moves. Monitoring on-chain activity and social sentiment in the hours before 8:00AM ET may reveal accumulation or distribution patterns.
