This market will resolve to "Up" if the Solana price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the SOL/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/sol-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream SOL/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.

Prediction market odds reflect what traders collectively believe will happen, which often diverges from spot price alone. While spot price shows the current market value of SOL, this market captures forward-looking sentiment about directional movement over a defined period. Traders incorporate technical analysis, on-chain metrics, macroeconomic factors, and event catalysts into their bids. The odds can signal whether the crowd expects volatility, momentum, or consolidation—information that spot price alone does not convey. Comparing the implied probability here to your own analysis can reveal potential mispricings.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker mechanism, where buying or selling shares directly moves the odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome (up or down) has a price between 0 and 1 that reflects the probability traders assign to it. As demand for one side increases, its price rises and the opposing side falls. This continuous pricing model ensures liquidity and allows participants to enter or exit positions at transparent, real-time rates throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Jul 7, 2026, once the four-hour observation window closes and the outcome can be verified. The result is determined by comparing Solana's price at the end of the period to its price at the start, with the outcome confirmed against credible public price data. Traders who correctly predicted the direction receive their payout, while those on the losing side forfeit their stake. Resolution is typically swift once the event window concludes and data is finalized.
Several catalysts could shift odds during the trading window. Major blockchain network updates, security incidents, or technical developments affecting Solana could trigger sharp moves. Broader crypto market sentiment—driven by Bitcoin or Ethereum price action, regulatory news, or macroeconomic data—often influences altcoin direction. On-chain activity spikes, exchange inflows or outflows, and social media momentum can also sway trader positioning. Additionally, announcements from major projects building on Solana or changes in developer activity may influence short-term price direction and market odds.
