This market will resolve to "Up" if the Solana price at the end of the time range specified in the title is greater than or equal to the price at the beginning of that range. Otherwise, it will resolve to "Down". The resolution source for this market is information from Chainlink, specifically the SOL/USD data stream available at https://data.chain.link/streams/sol-usd. Please note that this market is about the price according to Chainlink data stream SOL/USD, not according to other sources or spot markets.

Prediction market odds reflect aggregated trader conviction about whether Solana will rise or fall during the specified window. Unlike spot prices, which measure current exchange rates, these odds encode forward-looking expectations and incorporate real-time information from active participants. When this market shows balanced odds near 50–50, it signals genuine uncertainty among traders. Significant skew toward one outcome suggests consensus that a particular direction is more likely, though spot price momentum and technical levels often diverge from prediction market sentiment, especially during volatile or low-liquidity periods.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling binary outcome shares—one for "Up" and one for "Down." On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by the market; a share trading at 0.60 implies a 60% chance of that outcome. As new information arrives or trader sentiment shifts, share prices adjust in real time. Liquidity and order flow depth determine how quickly prices move, and wider spreads typically emerge during lower-activity periods or near resolution.
This market resolves around Jul 6, 2026, once the four-hour window closes and the final Solana price is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by comparing SOL's closing price at 8:00 AM ET on July 6 to its opening price at 4:00 AM ET. If the closing price is higher, the "Up" outcome wins; if lower, "Down" wins. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing shares expire worthless.
Major catalysts include Solana network updates, validator performance reports, and broader crypto market sentiment shifts driven by Bitcoin or Ethereum moves. Regulatory announcements affecting SOL or the wider ecosystem, macroeconomic data releases, and changes in on-chain activity metrics can all influence trader positioning. Technical levels and support or resistance zones may trigger algorithmic trading or liquidations. Additionally, news about competing Layer 1 platforms, developer adoption milestones, or security incidents could rapidly shift expectations, causing sharp repricing in the final hours before the market closes.
